四月中，就在布丁三歲生日那一天的早上，我帶著她去
獸醫那裡做飛行前最後的身體檢查，檢查完畢後回到家
裡我們忙著整理最後的行裝，而布丁的生日就若無其事
般渡過。
然後，在接下來的那一天，我們便帶著依依不捨的心情
離開澳洲，離開一個我生活了差不多二十年的地方，一
個四處都是布丁喜愛的大自然，草原，沙灘，湖泊的土
地。
在我和布丁麻把布丁送去機場的那個早上，什麼也懵然
不知的布丁被關進籠子裡，卻還是隔著籠子對著我們傻
笑，殊不知接下來的她要被送進陌生的籠子裡，踏上十
二個小時動盪與不安的旅程…
9:30am 布丁到達狗狗託運公司
不知旅途險惡的傻小孩：
11:00am 布丁被關進木籠，然後送去澳航(Qantas)
02:15pm 飛機起飛
09:45pm 飛機降落，布丁被送去貨運大樓
11:30pm 在貨運大樓接布丁，但仍要被關在籠子裡
被關了十多個小時的布丁：
12:00am 魚農處檢查布丁，登記，打晶片和預防針
(布丁打晶片時不痛，但流很多血，獸醫說布丁皮薄）
12:30am 布丁終於離開籠子，踏進香港的土地
01:00am 帶著布丁去香港的大排擋吃晚飯

My dog was shaking after the long flight from London to HK, How was 布丁 when
you collected her?
布丁 is lucky to have 小草地 outside home. We live in Tai Kok Tsui, the nearest
dog park is Yau Ma Tei, the 草地 is worn out and has small stones, my dog hurt
his paw within 5 minutes; the dog part at Lai Chi Kok hasn't 草地 to run, I
don't like him running on concrete as I worried that will hurt his joints.
As the weather is very hot, I am going to return to UK with him at the end of
MAY.

Hi, Pudding was OK after her flight, I tried to get her used to long
journeys by taking her on a few long road trips before her flight,
such as driving from Melbourne to Sydney which is a 9 hours drive. at
So when I pick her up that night, she was just very eager to get out
to go to the toilet.
There is a dog park at 文昌街 & 渡船街 corner, I am not sure if that is
the dog park you go, but I always see a few dogs there every time I go
pass. What is the size of your dog? If you don't want to let him run,
you can take him out for walks more often ?
Yes, I agree that the weather is getting really hot and humid here
for dogs, but unfortunately Pudding can't go back to Australia, as she
will need to go into quarantine for 3 months if she goes back.
Does your dog need to be quarantined going back to UK?

幾乎算是你的故鄉了耶。
以後就定居在香港，雖然沒有澳洲的大草原和遼闊的海岸線，
但是有更多狗狗和布丁拔永遠的陪伴我想她也會很開心的！
搞不好他根本沒有意識到她來到了另外一個國家呢！
布丁拔你快多寫一些網誌，我論文寫一寫需要不同的東西調適一下 哈哈～
最近要忙著展覽了沒時間更新我可憐的google blogger，一直被唸T^T

我是13歲的時候去澳洲的 去了18年啦~~!!!
布丁就算沒有意識到去了其他國家
也意識到換了一個氣候和環境吧
天氣 全亂了…人又多了…而且膚色也不一樣了
你的論文都做好了嗎? 漫畫可以讓我看了嗎?
說到網誌…你被我更偷懶吧…
ps 她是真的瘦了…26-28kg 之間
忘了寫，非疫區的寵物進入香港馬上就可以離開檢疫處了呀？

是啊~從澳洲去香港不用檢疫
可是從香港回澳洲的話要檢疫3個月
布丁經歷了一趟長長的旅程呢
有奶爸陪著相信到哪裡布丁都是開心的
而且以後我去香港就可以去看布丁了XD
奶爸要常更新啊(不要學我XD)
好久沒看到布丁也是會想念的呢~

我覺得 布丁~已經適應了
回到香港 雖然天氣與環境比較糟
但是有更人疼她~更多人和狗陪她玩
在家裡也很自由
所以她應該比我更快樂吧!
Hi,
Porridge is a larbrador. I used to walk him twice a day at Edinburgh, around 3
hours a day,and enjoyed the walks very much; but walking him in HK is a
torture: heat, crowd and people's reaction of his size.
His morning walk is before 6AM to avoid the heat after 7AM, and his walks have
reduced to less than 1 hour as I worried he or me will get sun stroke.
Porridge needn't to be quarantined when he returns UK.
After the long distance flight and long road trip, he can have free run in
meadows everyday. Dog's life is short, he is over 5 now, I just want him to
enjoy his life everyday.

Hi, I am lucky because we have a small garden that Pudding and Goldie (our larbrador) can run and play fetch. I understand your frustration when walking Porridge, I walk Pudding in the morning too, and even though Pudding is well behaved, there are some not so friendly reaction from people, but still I wouldn't care less, because that is our rights and we are not doing anything that is disturbing others.
I know Pudding will miss Melbourne, but I can't part with her just like I can't leave my whole my family in HK… so I am really glad to hear that you are bringing Porridge back to UK, at least your decision is much less selfish then mine, Porridge is lucky to have you as his owner.

從澳洲去香港的話 是不用檢疫的 可是要回去澳洲的話 就要檢疫3個月!!
我記得幾年前我送了一隻狗去臺灣 他也不是不用檢疫
應該主要是看狗狗從那裡去臺灣吧
像從香港去的話 就要檢疫一個月
不過…我想以後布丁是那裡都不能去的了
因為從香港出去 好像沒有多少不用檢疫的國家
我也有看到關鍵字ㄟ!!!

Hi,
The pet travel agent has taken Porridge to have worm treatment this morning, he
was shakung after he got into their car.
I want to give him the best I can, but I'm not sure which is the best way for
him anymore.
Is it wise to let him suffer a long flight again?
If you were in my shoes, what will you do?
Should I let him get used to the heat in HK and has seldom free run in meadows
to avoid the long flight?
He bought a plastic bottle to me and wanted me to throw for him in a mini
football match a few days ago, but I worried that running on concrete will
damage his joint, I just threw it a short distance.
I know the weather isn't hot today has affect my doubt of the leaving HK.

Hi Ada,
I just returned from interZoo in Germany, is Porridge still in HK right now?
I know it is not easy to make a decision for them, and at time we always wonder what is the best decision for them, as they will never tell us what they want, we can only do what we think is the best for them with the information we have.
If you decided it is best for Porridge to return to the UK, then you have to believe in yourself and show him the same confidence, as they can feel your emotion, guilt or sorrow, your negativity will have the same impact to him.
So be happy and trust your decision, and in turn Porridge will feel better towards flying, I can't tell you which decision is better, but I can tell you that environment in UK is much better for Porridge, you just have to weight it against Porridge taking another long journey, plus your own preference, where would you want to stay more? As I trust that Porridge will be happiest as long as he is staying with you.
Hope you have a good trip to UK if you decide to go.

We are in Edinburgh now,Porridge ran around the small meadows
outside our building happily and rolling on the grass when he
arrived home on Wednesday.
I'm glad that I bring him back,I won't happy if I stay in HK and
seeing Porridge suffering.

我覺得她已經完全忘記澳洲的家
(但還記掛著澳洲的草原和沙灘)
能夠不剃的話 還是不要剃比較好啊
我都只幫布丁剪短 因為毛剃過了會變硬
布丁已經被大意的寵物店剃了一次
剃掉了幼幼毛 以後我也不想再幫她剃了 >__< 另外剃完後真的很容易敏感! 去了澳洲的那裡? 以後去香港的話 也會要想到布丁了 XD
